Mixed Media on Canvas / Acrylic / 30” × 40”
Gallery-wrapped on a 1.5-inch-deep stretcher bar with painted edges.
This painting is part of my new collection „The Quiet Truce”.
In Hush in the Meadow, the rabbit's vulnerability and the owl's watchfulness would normally keep them alert to one another-instincts that help them survive. Yet, for a brief moment, they share a sense of calm. Nature is the subject, but for me, the heart of the painting is that calm energy where it shouldn't be: in the space between two opposing survival instincts.
I feel it. And then I paint it.
